Currently, in addition to the instructor Chen Ning, the laboratory has a total of 9 students or working staff and 2 graduates. There is one scientific research assistant, one doctoral student, and 7 master students. Their research directions and interests are presented below.

Xinwei Li
My research interests focus on studying the equilibrium behavior of multiple state variables in global drylands. Additionally, I am investigating how the increasing number of global change factors influences ecosystem stability. Currently, I have published an article titled "Effects of microtopography on soil microbial communities in alpine meadows on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau" in Catena.

Master's third year
Yali Ma
My research focuses on the coexistence patterns of biocrust-vascular plant in drylands of China. Currently, I am involved in the top-level project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, ‘Differential mechanisms of causing equilibrium behaviors of dryland ecosystems with different soil textures ’. There has been one article under review with the title 'Coexistence patterns of biocrust-vascular plant in the Loess Plateau. In my spare time, I prefer Chinese Taijiquan.
